Mahmood Al Daoud
(SYRIA)
Mahmood Al Daoud (b. 1987, Syria) is a contemporary visual artist whose practice is rooted in abstraction and emotional narrative. He earned his Bachelor’s degree in Fine Arts in 2011 in Syria, and his work reflects a deep engagement with memory, displacement, and the inner landscape of human experience. Through layered compositions, bold color contrasts, and textured surfaces, Al Daoud explores the tension between presence and absence, often creating works that feel both intimate and expansive.
Now based in Abu Dhabi, United Arab Emirates, Al Daoud has developed an international exhibition profile, with solo and group shows across the Middle East, Europe, and North America. His work has been presented in galleries and art fairs including NYU Abu Dhabi Art Gallery, Abu Dhabi Art Fair, and exhibitions in Beirut, Damascus, Paris, and Montreal. His artistic language continues to evolve, driven by a search for stillness, identity, and unseen connections within contemporary life.
We are presenting the series of limited editions of artworks on paper.
